PURGE & PROPAGATE PROJECT
Take every noncommittal work of art that hasn't been finished up until this point and enact the following 7 steps on them immediately.

1. Cut work into as many 5" x 5" squares as possible.

2. Burn all parts and pieces under size and place ashes in a glass vitrine.

3. Scan each piece into the computer.

4. Take each scan individually and reduce it down to a single relative color.
-
5. Draw a 1/3 porportional square in the center of each cut square.
-
6. Fill the square with a perfectly macthed mix of oil paint relative to the squares reduced relative color.

7. All squares not completed by 02.14.2007 should be burned and those ashes placed in a second glass vitrine.

What A Busy Boy You Are

Been keeping real busy with the web business. Today I just purchased new space for hosting and also purchashed a new .com name for a new website. Decided to begin a separation between the fine art and the business side of me. So while cherrylipped.com is almost ready to launch, the new site which will be my permanent home from here on out for my fine art and personal affairs will be thomasarthurschaefer.com. Yup I got my name... how about that one.

I'm right now in a 48 hours transfer period, but things should be changed out by the end of year as planned and cherrylipped.com should be up before x-mas. The catalogue raisonne should be up some time after that on the new thomasarthurschaefer.com. I'm still in the process of rebuilding that one too... a lot of editing and rethinking going on with that one.

So business and personal... makes good sense to me. The really cool thing is that at some point next year I'm going to open an online store on my personal site and sell various small works like donuts and such, as well as other delicious trash. It's gonna be great!

Dumped the old cherrylipped site yesterday at exactly 5pm as planned and put up the temp page. I've plowed thru the new sites front-end with a force I've never had before. The actual copy writing content came fast and the layout and mechanics weaved in even faster. I predict I may have a functional, though not complete site as far as the fine art section is concerned ready for business this monday morning. That would be a most welcome event to my dismale state as of late. No Rimbaud to quote this evening though it's still in the back of my mind... too busy working. With the site up I'll have a better outlet and go-to for drumming up business once again and then things will really start to turn around. It's that one little thing that I need for motivation and boy it'll be a good one to throw out there.

I need to get working on the rebuild of my website at some point this week. Prehaps I'll begin that this wednesday... it really needs a business end update. Barker suggested that I offer some of my work for sale online... another thing that I'm not sure whether I'd want to do and if I did how to go about it.

Hell I woulda settled for 17 year old kids without costumes last night... though I'd normally tell those types to piss-off. Ha ha ha... In the real world though, I need to head out there so I can take down 'Sweet Tooth' and bring what's left of it home. All I'm really upset about is having to load it up into the car all over again. It is gonna suck big time beacuse it was a pain to pack the first time and now I also have Richie Rich pieces to add to that mix. Ohh well nothing a few drinks and friends can't fix.
