Evening at The Fox with Nikki to see NIN. The fact that the tickets were free... thanks to the eleven Hendrick’s Gin & Tonics I drank at the CT anniversary party to win them.

(Yes, eleven.)

But aside from that, the show was incredible. Trent even brought out a tenor sax at one point. Felt like I was in high school again.

Penned Woods

Performed the ritual burying of the 72 frames (+4 AP) this evening. First, the set of 36 (+2) black frames went down, followed by the 36 (+2) orange frames placed on top.

Once they were covered, I performed a ritual consisting of 72 banishings and 72 invocations. I won’t get into the details of the ritual—nor who or what I was banishing and invoking—but it went on for several hours.

After completing the ritual, I left the frames buried overnight before unearthing them for the next phase of the process.

Taped Everything

Did some reconfiguration and knolling of the studio shelves this evening. Just playing around with configurations and cleaning things up.

Something Responsive

Went with Nikki to The Earl tonight to see one of my favorites—OUGHT—and they did not disappoint. Scored a killer shirt and finally got some vinyl signed.

Tribal Downtown

Stopped by DragonCon today... lost my 1-Day pass, but took on the persona of Warhol thanks to a borrowed wig from Nick. Got a few staircase shots in character.

Master format on display for the exhibition will be a 6x6 square. However, the full work in total will be 6x12 for a total of 72 works.

Those goddamned little frames again!? Yup. I'm outputting a huge set of donut paintings for an upcoming group show.

Meal Conversation

Today is the official opening reception for the show. My master works and their corresponding ofrendas were installed early in the morning by myself. After the install, I picked up Barker from the airport. I flew him into Atlanta for the opening and I got to hang out with two of my favorite fellas that evening — great opening with a huge crowd.

Preparing the Saints and then cutting them to pieces. Next step... oil painted portraits.

Execution Wasp

Another early morning as I plow through the masterworks for the show. David Bowie coffee cup helps me power through the Spirit work. All five of these works still need their Saint added at the bottom. I'm currently collecting materials to complete the ofrendas that will be placed before the finished glass panels.
